BEGIN
to start; to come into being; the first part of a process

AGAIN
once more; back to the original place or position

The Ateneo has borne witness to some of the greatest changes in our university experience. We began by coming together, envisioning, dreaming, and as one community, we faced one of the biggest adjustments made by the student body in 2020.

Now, we are called to face an even greater challenge of pioneering a new age for the Ateneo. One defined by the crisis we rose up against, guided by the principles we’ve always held, and propelled by our drive to chart the future we deserve.

The times have changed, we’ve changed. There is now a call for us to renew, to start fresh. And together, to begin reimagining our course as we traverse a new era for the Ateneo.

So for 2021, we begin again.

IDEALS

1. Goal-oriented

Focused on concrete, tangible plans of action. How will these plans be achievable? What role will the student body take in the actualization of these plans? Goals are geared towards answering the needs of the Atenean community while providing pro-active means for involvement and contribution from the studentry.

• ROADMAP – definition of goals; provides clarity and direction.

2. Communities of Purpose

Begin Again is a collective decision for us to move forward and start over as one community. It enjoins everyone in the process of rebuilding and capitalizes on the importance of collective action in order to achieve these goals.

3.  Instituting Reforms

The brunt of the changes brought by the new SAMAHAN Constitution will take effect during the term of the new SAMAHAN. As such, it is the prerogative of the new SAMAHAN to make sure these changes are felt. Visible transition.
